Here's a bit more
about the car.
The Lotus Elise is a small
roadster that is known for its razor sharp steering and no compromises
track car feel. The Elise is a small two seat soft top roadster.
It weighs a mere 1,975 lbs and has four-wheel fully independent
suspension. Somewhat sparse on the inside, the Elise doesn't pretend
to be a luxury car. Its main purpose is to go fast around a track
and that's what it does. It is powered by a tuned Toyota 190 hp
1.8-liter, 16-valve four-cylinder engine that is controlled by a
C64 six-speed manual transmission. For 2005, the Lotus Elise makes
its first time appearance in North America.
Engine 1.8LI-4, MPG 23 City / 27 Hwy, Seating 2 Passengers, Transmission
6-spd man w/OD
Power 190 @ 7800 rpm, Drivetrain rear-wheel
The Elise has everything you need if you are looking
for a pure sports car and nothing that you don't need. Handling
is spectacular. Acceleration is great. Fuel economy is excellent.
Looks are judged favorably by the general public compared to almost
anything else including cars costing ten times as much. Best value
for money in a sports car anywhere. Noise level is a little high.
Getting in and out takes practice. Ride is not cushy. Drive is fantastic.
